Life hacks are all over the Internet, little tricks to make life just a little bit simpler and stress-free.

Here at SQ Professional we have been testing out our range of blenders and coming up with some inventive pearls of wisdom that really work!
How many times have you found yourself tentatively trying to clean out your blender without touching the blades? Or struggling over chunky soups you just wish were a little smoother? Our blender hacks will hopefully make things easier, as well as give you some new ideas you had never thought of before!

    1. Never waste time scrubbing and washing

Make your blender self-cleaning and save yourself the hassle! Simply fill your blender 3/4 full with warm water and a splash of dish soap, blend for 30 seconds and then simply rinse out. Easy!

    2. For perfect results, blend your ingredients in order

You will always achieve the best results if you blend your ingredients in this order: Liquid (water, stock, milk…), Yoghurts or cream cheeses, Soft fruits/ cooked vegetables and then lastly ice or hard ingredients. If you follow this rule, the liquid and soft ingredients at the bottom coat the blades, meaning they can then cut more effectively through any tougher ingredients.

    3. Make nutritious compost for your plants at home

It sounds odd, but your plants will thank you for it and you’ll save money on buying compost. Blending up your food waste in your high-powered blender is a really great way of getting more nutrient-rich soil in your garden and plant pots, fast! Simply save up your food waste, or empty your food waste bin into your blender, blitz it up and sprinkle it over your plant's soil. You’ll achieve fresher herbs, fruits and veggies in no time! (and also be doing your bit to help the environment) Don’t forget to follow step one afterwards for a clean and hygienic blender.

    4. Decant wine with your blender

Decanting your wine helps to separate it. Many younger wines can be tight or closed on the nose or palate however if you decant your wine it takes in oxygen, which helps open up the aromas and flavours. Decant wine in an instant by zapping it in a blender at high power for 60 – 30 seconds.
